Welcome to your Nonprofit AI Workspace
AI is transforming the way we work. But few nonprofits enjoy access to secure, reliable AI tools. That's why we created our free AI workspace for Ontario nonprofits. The workspace is the first offering from the Generative AI Lab for Ontario Nonprofits, a project by LogicalOutcomes with support from Ontario Trillium Foundation.
How it works:
Access AI assistants tailored for nonprofits, free of cost.
Select from a set of AI assistants built with the latest large language models (LLMs).
Use our prompts to help with research, writing, strategy, and more.

Get access
Complete the interest form to the right. This helps us verify your eligibility*.
You’ll receive an email with instructions to sign up.
*This service is available exclusively to staff and volunteers with Canadian registered nonprofits that offer community-based services in Ontario. If you don’t meet those criteria, you can still complete the interest form. We will reach out to you if the eligibility criteria change.

About the AI lab
Why this lab matters
Removing financial barriers: Many nonprofits struggle to afford subscriptions to AI tools. Our AI workspace removes cost as a barrier, by providing a free environment where nonprofit staff can experiment with high-quality AI assistants.
An opportunity to get started: We know that many nonprofits want to leverage AI for grant writing and social media marketing, but aren't sure where to start. Our pre-prompted assistants and sector-specific prompt library make it easy to dig in.
Data privacy: Data protection is a top concern for nonprofits considering AI. We clearly document how data is used, where it goes, who has access, and what shouldn't be shared, so you can make informed decisions about how to use these tools.
Tailored guidance, not generic advice: The lab focuses on practical, appropriate solutions, created with and for nonprofit staff.
Keeping up with a changing landscape: AI is developing rapidly, and the pace of technological change can be overwhelming. We stay on top of these changes so that you don't have to. As new tools become available, we'll update the AI workspace with the models that work best.
Our AI principles
At LogicalOutcomes, our safe and responsible use of AI follows from a set of guiding principles:
Accountability: Human team members must be accountable for the work that we do. When we work with AI, we review and validate outputs for accuracy and clarity.
Data privacy: We strip identifiers from datasets prior to analysis, and ask that anyone using our AI tools do the same. Any AI-supported analysis of sensitive data takes place in special environments, which we configure for this purpose. We don’t share sensitive data with the LLMs in our Nonprofit AI Workspace.
Transparency: We clearly disclose use of AI, and are happy to discuss benefits, risks and mitigation strategies.
Responsible development: We co-design AI tools with users, prioritizing security, sustainability, accessibility and usefulness.
Learn and improve: We keep up with AI advances (as best we can), test new tools, and apply feedback for ongoing improvement.
